Teen Counseling

Our Teen Specialists Can Help

Avoiding real problems can have an unhealthy impact on your teen’s ability to cope with daily life. COTR Counseling Center offers the appropriate counseling your teen needs to work through the issues inhibiting them from living their lives to the fullest.

Some adolescents visit us to prevent things from happening, while some visit to solve current problems or to heal from past wounds.RMCC counselors are equipped to handle whatever issues come their way. Some of our visitors simply need a safe place to speak freely about their problems, while others may require an intervention.

We believe that it is important for teens to see a counselor who specializes in adolescent therapy, someone who understands the teenage mind and the struggles they face. RMCC focus lies specifically with the treatment of teens (adolescents).

Highly Specialized

At the Rocky Mountain Counseling Center, we can help assist with any of these areas and many more. We have adolescent therapists that specialize in treating teenagers / adolescents. Adolescent counseling is a specialized field we highly recommend that when you pick a counselor for your teenager that you choose a counselor that specializes in this area of therapy. Remember adult therapy and adolescent therapy are not the same thing. Rocky Mountain Counseling Center is a resource that will help you work through these issues.

Parental involvement will be consistent throughout the adolescent’s treatment. You will relay important information about how you believe your son or daughter is progressing at home and school throughout the therapy sessions. During your time with the counselor he or she may offer your advice on how to effectively help your teen at home. This time also presents a great opportunity to address any parenting questions you may have.

Generally, we hold weekly individual adolescent counseling sessions with your teen. There will be check-in times held separately for the parents. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at 406-788-5508.
